Just an Announcement:

"The Grizzlies Den" on OUTV has started taping for the news season of Grizzlies Athletics. WXOU's own Chris Moore, (Producer) Katie Koppin (Sports Desk) and Corey Hagood (Main Host) have taken over the show for the new year, and we are all very exicted about it and hope to improve on an already great show and make it even better.

Recap and Preview

Well here it is 12:30AM on a Saturday, the summer is winding down and in just a few weeks the Campus of Oakland University will return to its crazy and busy self! Fresh off a Lions loss in NY, My first thoughts are it was finally nice to see some football, local media members were saying the offense would not be on fire and boom it was not.

As You know the Red Wings signed Kent McDonell, Friday Morning. Mostly a move for the Griffins.

Don't forget we are getting close to The "Totally Raw Sports" Fantasy Football Blowout. Very close.

Lets Recap the Show:

Last Wednesday Jake and Adam were off and we all know what that means, Corey was left in charge and he went hockey crazy! We even had Jakub Kindl talk! Adam 12, Chris The Fish,Sarah, Nic, Katie Koppin from Channel 7 Action News Called in and The head Bosses at WXOU Rob and Christine even came in and talked for a bit.

We discussed NHL Small market teams all of a sudden have all kinds of Cash that they didn't have a year ago. With the main point being if you have no money to spend at all how does a Cap all of a sudden put money into the owners pocket and why these teams will regret what they are doing now because of the Cap number that will change. Where is the NHL getting all this revenue to raise the cap? We talked about the NHL on OLN with the Comcast deal that looks like is taking place.

Corey informed all on the new Assistant Coach for Oakland Hockey via Head Coach Sean Hogan's Press Release, which is posted below.

We Discussed T.O. and Andy Reid.

We discussed Carolyn Hughes-Derek Lowe Affair and for some reason it turned into Glenda Lewis and Shay Ryan talk. We went an extra Hour on top of it all. Played Sports Tunes and also 101 Sound Effects and Rob Mixed some sweet tunes for us all.

Were on again Wednesday from 4-6 on WXOU 88.3FM via www.wxou.org to Listen online

We take your calls at 248-370-4274 and via aol instant messenger at wxoudj, see ya all then!
