CollegeHockey.info Releases Its ACHA Division 1 National Poll

My Personal Remarks: someone voted for Stony Brook?? Wow.

For the first time in over a year, the University of Illinois finds itself somewhere other than on top of an American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 national poll. The defending ACHA Division 1 national champions drop to #2 in the new CollegeHockey.info ACHA Division 1 National Poll ( http://www.CollegeHockey.info), overtaken by new #1 Lindenwood University.

Illinois, losers for the first time since March 3, 2007, dropped a 6-4 decision to Central Oklahoma (previously un-ranked; now #8) on October 26. The defeat was enough to slide the 9-1 Fighting Illini (4-0 in the Central State Collegiate Hockey League) down one spot to #2 in the CollegeHockey.info ACHA Division 1 National Poll.

Lindenwood University (12-2) takes over the poll's top spot. The Lion's only losses came to #9 Iowa State at Iowa State and #4 Liberty in a shoot-out.

Penn State University, Liberty University, and University of Oklahoma round out the CollegeHockey.info ACHA Division 1 National Poll's top five: (previous ranks shown in parenthesis)

1. Lindenwood University (2)
2. University of Illinois (1)
3. Penn State University (3)
4. Liberty University (4)
5. University of Oklahoma (7)
6. University of Delaware (5)
7. University of Rhode Island (6)
