Illinois Hockey at home
A conversation last night got me to look up Illinois Hockey record at home.
The last time Illinois lost at home to an ACHA Team was 1/20/06 vs North Dakota State a 4-3 loss they have won 49 straight at home which will be 51 after they play Michigan State. I think its safe to put those two in the win column for Illinois, no disrespect to MSU at all by saying that. To be fair during that stretch they lost to the CSCHL All-Stars at home 6-4 on 2-24-07 but that doesn't really count in my opinion.
Remember they are on a 38 game win streak and if you believe they will beat MSU like it will be 40 straight wins going into the weekend series against Oakland. The last loss for Illinois was on 3/3/07 at the ACHA National Tournament against Oakland which was a 3-2 loss
Now Illinois fans are most likely looking at this years schedule and saying the first 16 at home are easy wins. In those 16 it looks like if anyone is going to beat them Oakland would have the best shot.
Since 2000-2001 Illinois is 146-10-4 at home. That says it all.
